Health Hiatus

My health issues have gotten a bit out of control lately — hence my unexplained absence. So I’ve decided to take time off and focus hardcore on getting healthy. Hopefully, it’ll only take a month.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday! You’ll be in my thoughts. And fingers crossed I’ll be back right after the New Year!

On a side note, if you have to be sick, wouldn’t the bedroom above be a great place to waste away the time? Throw in some greenery, a mountain view and a giant stone fireplace, and it would be perfect for christmas.

MIA

I can’t apologize enough for deserting you for the past two weeks. When I left for Croatia, I wrote, uploaded and set all my posts on a timer so they would automatically load every day including the ones about me flying home and unpacking.

Well, guess what? We decided to stay an extra week in Croatia. It was so beautiful, we couldn’t leave. And then, when we returned home, we immediately moved into a new place. That had no internet. That’s right. No internet. We were without it for a whole week. It was like living in the dark ages.

Top that off with a terrible flu — it was a blast carrying boxes with aches — and that’s why I’ve been MIA. But things will be back to normal this Monday.

I hope you’re having a wonderful fall. Here in New England, it’s been unusually rainy and cloudy. There’s only been one sunny day since we’ve been back.

P.S. The photo above is of where we were. That’s why we couldn’t leave. I didn’t take that photo, but once I get all 2,000 or so of mine downloaded — yea, I went a bit crazy — I’ll share the highlights with you.

Heading Home with Goodies in Tow

9.24.12

Sadly, I’m on a flight home today from Croatia. But on the bright side, I’m bringing tons of goodies with me. The most important being a brand new husband along with two shiny, new rings. So life can’t be that bad. Well, other than the 6-hour long layover.

When I get home, I’ll do my best to answer all your e-mails and comments as quickly as possible. Again, thank you ever so much for your support. I’m excited to be back.

And no, I’m not wearing gloves, heels or a fur coat on the plane. When I fly, it’s all about comfort.

Jetting Off

I’m taking off looking nowhere near as stylish as those two women — I wish – for Croatia today, and to be honest, it doesn’t feel real. I can’t believe I’ll be in a foreign country in just a few hours, and more than that, I can’t believe I’m getting married. Ahhh. Good thing I didn’t pack my running shoes.

While I’m away, I’ll be completely unplugged. No phone. No computer. No tablet. So I won’t be able to respond to any comments or e-mails. But don’t worry, there will still be posts. I have ones lined up for every day while I’m gone. So be sure to stop by.

When I return — September 24 — I’ll do my best to answer all your e-mails and comments as quickly as possible. Until then, thank you for all of your support. I so greatly appreciate it.

And now, I’m off to get hitched.

Featured At: Stone Gable Blog

Yvonne of the wonderful Stone Gable blog featured my book yesterday, and she said such amazingly kind things, I just had to give her a shout out. If you love country, cottage decor, good food and crafts, you must check her blog out —especially if you struggle with coming up with dinners for the entire week. Every Sunday she posts a weekly menu filled with what looks to be tasty goodness. If only I didn’t have so many food allergies.

Thank you Yvonne!
